Two programs (K-Scan and KwriteDataPC) were provided by OSSA for dealer-level service. K-Scan is the diagnostic tool. KwriteDataPC loads .KDA map files into the ECU.

A third program, KwritePro, is a “factory only” tool geared towards mass production. A map file must be “registered” before it is used. I think this was intended to limit the number of maps a production-line worker was allowed to load. It is likely a supervisor registered only the map needed for a given production run. In my case, I just registered all the available maps so I can easily choose between them.
